Sher Borrell Bio

Sher enjoys all forms of movement and sharing it with others. Not only is she a dancer, choreographer and teacher, she is a certified Aline Studio Pilates, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® instructor. She has studied, taught and performed throughout the United States, Europe and is currently working in Palm Desert and the Los Angeles area. She has a passion for people, health and overall well being utilizing the movement modalities she specializes in. Training people of all ages, athletic ability and backgrounds has enabled her to create programs specific to clients needs and goals in studios, gyms, vacation destinations and the privacy of their own home.

Dance Bio: Sher has danced since the age of five in theatre, classical ballet, modern, Jazz and ethnic dance. After graduating from the University California, Irvine with a B. A. in dance, she joined the Nanette Brodie Dance Theatre (visit www.nbdt.net). Nanette's company performed locally, nationally and internationally while instructing student workshops and dance seminars. Nanette requested Sher to assist her for artist and theatrical showcases, choreography and dance company fitness training. Sher has also performed with Wasted Talent Modern Dance company, Metropolitan Ballet Company, Tinsel Town and recently The Tuner Project in New York City. She continues to guest perform and collaborate with fellow artists, companies, and festivals. Upon request, Sher is available for all genres of dance needs including teaching, performing, choreographing, dance theater, photography, fashion and artistic collaborations.

Pilates Bio: Sher Began her Pilates training with Diane Defender at the University of California, Irvine and received her Pilates certification from Aline Studios (visit www.Alinestudios.com), Costa Mesa under Tracy Fitzpatrick. After assisting Tracy in managing the studio for six years, Sher moved to Palm Desert to open the Pilates center at the Vintage Club. Upon the season ending, she moved to New York instructing Pilates and GYROTONIC® at Body Evolution. She has created programs for dancers, athletes, golfers, seniors and those with physical limitations. She is currently teaching part time at the Vintage Club in Palm Desert, in Beverly Hills and throughout the Los Angeles area. She keeps a close affiliation with Aline Studios, Costa Mesa and is available for private and semi private training, group classes, workshops, and site specific locations.
